Our Promise

Every Knot & Grain table is handcrafted at Forge Farm to be lived with, not just looked at. Built from solid timber, joined by hand, and finished to last for generations. We stand behind that craftsmanship with a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects, giving you complete confidence in your table from the day it arrives.

What’s Covered

For 5 years from the date of delivery, we will repair or replace, at our discretion, any Knot & Grain table found to have a genuine defect in materials or workmanship. This includes:

• Structural integrity — the frame, legs, and joinery under normal domestic use.
• Manufacturing faults — defects present at the time of delivery that were not caused by external damage.
• Finish adhesion — premature peeling, bubbling, or flaking of the applied finish under normal conditions.

What’s Not Covered

Solid wood is a natural material, and our warranty is designed to protect against genuine faults and not the wood behaving as wood does. The following are not covered:

• Natural characteristics — grain variation, knots, and minor movement, warping, or seasonal expansion/contraction caused by changes in humidity or temperature.
• Normal wear — surface marks, minor scratches, or finish dulling that result from everyday use.
• Environmental exposure — fading, drying, or damage caused by direct sunlight, heat sources, radiators, or excess humidity.
• Misuse or accidental damage — including impact damage, spills left untreated, harsh or abrasive cleaning products, or use of the table for anything other than its intended purpose.
• Commercial use — this warranty covers domestic, residential use only. Use in a commercial, hospitality, or rental setting is not covered unless agreed with us in writing beforehand.
• Unauthorised repairs — any attempt to repair, refinish, or modify the table by anyone other than Knot & Grain Dining.
• Transit after delivery — damage occurring during a house move or any transport arranged by you after the original delivery.

Making a Claim

To make a warranty claim, email info@knotandgraindining.com within 30 days of first noticing the issue, including your order number, the delivery date, clear photographs of the fault, and a short description of what’s happened. We aim to respond within 2 working days, and may ask for further photographs or, in some cases, to inspect the piece in person before confirming a claim.

Our Remedy

Where a claim is approved, we will, at our discretion, repair the affected part, replace the component, or replace the table entirely. If the original finish or material is no longer available, we will offer the closest equivalent. Repairs and replacements remain covered for the remainder of the original 5-year period, not a new term.

Terms & Conditions

• This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable unless agreed in writing by Knot & Grain Dining.
• The 5-year period begins on the date of delivery, not the date of order.
• A valid, dated proof of purchase is required for all claims.
• Care must be taken in line with our published care guidance: avoiding harsh chemicals, excess moisture, direct heat, and placing hot items directly on the surface without protection.
• Knot & Grain Dining reserves the right to request further evidence, or to inspect the item in person, before approving any claim.
• This warranty covers the product itself only and does not cover indirect or consequential loss, such as the cost of alternative furniture while a repair is carried out.
• These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
• We may update these terms from time to time; any change will not affect a claim arising before that change was made.
• This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
